The live calendar below contains events whose dates and locations were checked against official organizer pages on August 10, 2026. Filter by region, attendance format, or audience instead of working from a generic best-conference list.
No conference is best for every audience. Research conferences optimize for papers and scholarly exchange; builder events emphasize systems, tools, and working demonstrations; enterprise and policy events focus on deployment, governance, purchasing, and organizational change.

Research: NeurIPS, AIES, and AAAI
NeurIPS 2026 runs December 6–12 in Sydney with official satellite events and virtual access. AIES 2026 meets October 12–14 in Malmö around AI ethics, safety, governance, and societal impact. AAAI-27 follows in Montréal in February 2027 with broad foundational and applied AI research, workshops, and tutorials.
Research attendance works best when you name the papers, workshops, or collaborators that matter before buying travel. Proceedings and recorded sessions can deliver the information; in-person attendance earns its cost when scholarly exchange and repeated community participation are the goal.
Agent builders: MCP, runtimes, and production systems
MCP Dev Summit Seoul opens the current calendar with implementation work around MCP, orchestration, security, and production operations. AGNTCon + MCPCon then runs regional events in China, Japan, Europe, and North America. Agent Conf, Interrupt NYC, GOSIM Shenzhen, and Voice Agents Forum narrow further into context, memory, tools, debugging, multi-agent systems, and production voice agents.
These events are a better fit than a broad business summit when you want architecture diagrams, tool traces, interoperability discussions, working demonstrations, and people who can compare implementation failures rather than only outcomes.
Operators, enterprise teams, and policy
AUTONOMOUS 2026 is a virtual option for agentic operations and organizational design. HumanX Amsterdam, World Summit AI, and HumanX Las Vegas cover a broader mix of enterprise implementation, products, investment, and policy. Choose these rooms when adoption, governance, purchasing, partnerships, or operating-model change matters more than a protocol deep dive.
How to decide whether to attend
Estimate the complete cost, including travel and time. Name the sessions, meetings, or decisions that justify it. Choose virtual access or published proceedings when the information is the main value; attend in person when repeated community participation, recruiting, partnerships, or hands-on workshops matter.
- Research and peer-reviewed work: NeurIPS, AIES, or AAAI.
- Agent protocols and implementation: MCP Dev Summit, AGNTCon + MCPCon, Agent Conf, Interrupt, or GOSIM.
- Enterprise operations and governance: AUTONOMOUS, HumanX, or World Summit AI.
- Local networking: pair a major event with a recurring regional group.
